There was a close relationship between Ruffatti and Rodgers for a number of years. Rodgers later purchased the Larry Phelps organ factory in Erie, PA, which was the original Tellers Organ Company factory. Rodgers later consolidated all pipe organ manufacturing at the factory in Oregon. Rodgers has recently entered into an alliance with Pinchi of Italy, who just purchased the Stinkens pipe factory in Tuscany. During the time that Rodgers and Ruffatti were associated, Rodgers may have ben independent, then purchased by CBS, but the association with Ruffatti ended prior to the ownership assumed by Roland, I believe. The first true attempts at combining pipes and electronics can be reported on by list member Henry Tellers, whose father (I think) combined a Principal Chorus with the Conn electronic organ back in vacuum tube days. Some of the these organs are still playing, some with new Rodgers Consoles. Ah, but It have forgotten the subject here. With the deterioration of the Ruffatti Console, Rodgers was employed to build a new console, correct me if I am wrong here.... -- noel jones, aago athens, tennessee, usa ------------------------------- frog music press rodgers organ users group www.frogmusic.com :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Find Music for the Rodgers PR-300 at www.frogmusic.com :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: To unsubscribe or change mail delivery (digest, vacation) go to our website at www.frogmusic.com/rodgers.html
