Carlo -

That's exactly what First UMC in Clearwater, Florida did - and the
results were spectacular. The organ added to was originally a 3m/38r
Wicks. The Wicks Principal Chorus was replaced with Ruffati 8-4-2-IV -
digital augmentation to the remaining divisions along with a digital
Solo. The speakers are placed in the chambers w/the Great division
outside the chambers for that exposed great feel. Some of the great
speakers are in the Choir chamber for some expression on that manual as
well. A Pr300-S is also installed. Festival Trumpet speakers are on
the back wall of the sanctuary. The size of the instrument is now
around 96 ranks. Frederick Swann has played it - Marilyn Mason has
played it - all have raved about it.

I'd say go for it.
