Hello List:

If you haven't turned to page 27 in the latest issue of "The American
Organist" there is a
full page ad about the temporary installation of a 967 in Royal Albert Hall
(England) while their
pipe organ is being restored. According to the ad, Rodgers sampled the
Great and Solo
reeds and incorporated those samples in the 967 so it would emulate the
Willis/Harrison
organ that is being restored.

On another list there was a lot of chest pounding about Musicom based
organs (Musicom
being an English company that generates sounds by additive synthesis) as
being clearly
superior to all sampled sound organs. I wonder why Rodgers was chosen over
Musicom if
it is so superior -- particularly installing an American product in
preference to an English one.
