Jack, I have one question for you. Can you sing an "A" anytime and go to the piano and play it only to find that you have sung that exact pitch? I hear the pitches in my brain and know what key they're in and can tell you if its a,b flat, g augmented 7th etc. Can you do that? Because if you can, anyone can play a note on anything and you will know what it is. that sir, is perfect pitch. ----- Original Message ----- From: John G. Amplifying my previous message, while I can hear in my brain, melodies, chords, etc and can read music, sight reading is quite hard for me. That was the hardest part for me on the AGO test. Playing "pop" music from a fake book, is I think, part reading the melody line, part reading the chord symbols, and part "hearing in my brain" what the chord sounds like before I play it. Comments?
