Often when working in the Catholic Church it is common to find former
seminarians, who
chose not to be ordained...or flunked out...to have rather major roles in the
church...from involvement in liturgical ceremonies to serving as bartenders at
clergy
functions....well, somebody's got to do it!

Anyhow, there is an air about these people. a sort of superiority, in that they
recognize the commitment, and honor it, though they are not part of it.

In the same manner there are people who have a respect for a church as being
more than
a building...becuase of the relatively short history for the inclusion of
audio, and
even shorter, video in the church, there is often a total lack of concern for
the
building, what it is, and what is in it...I once worked as a director for a
video crew
at a major orchestral venue, with teen age boys employed by their father to run
the
cameras...they didn't have a clue and the tape was worthless.

Now many of us can understand the feelings that come to theater organists when
they see
the old organs ripped out of theaters and abandoned...
