Fred: When recording on your computer, remember that CH 11-16 are reserved for use by the Rodgers Organ only. You can write notes to them, CH 12 Gt, CH 13, SW CH 14, PD and CH 15 CH....and the Festival Trumpet may be on 16 (somebody help me here!). but to get the stops to play you have to insert messages that will control them. ' Jim Mertens of the List created a nifty program that will read stop messages for the Rodgers from SMF (..mid) files. They are stored in SYSEX messages. YOu can also set pistons and have the organ react to piston info. The quickest and easiest way to get started is to record stop combinations on the PR300, save them using STOP and SAVE....then open that file on the computer and copy and paste the SYSEX into the music you are writing where it is appropriate.
