It’s not enough to just have an organ, you need organ music too!
There is a large library of organ music that was published prior to 1920 or
was composed since then but not copyrighted in the US for various reasons.
The Catholic Organist’s Quarterly is four books totalling about 800 pages of
organ music for manuals - no pedal parts - or you may play some notes in the
pedals if you want to.
Each book has registraiton notes for each piece.
With the assistance of others, I have compiled all the music, re-engraved it
myself or wiht the help of others and all four books are now available.
There are very, very few pieces in the books that are “Catholic” and you might
not use in the church you serve.
Why call it The Catholic Organist’s Quarterly?
Over the last 60+ years thre have been a huge amount of organ music published
and it is hard for a Catholic organist to sort through it all. We’ve done that
ourselves and you will fine it is full of interesting organ music!
