And Patrick ---- that would really tell you what ---
?????

We all know that the automobile industry is sooooo
honest and that those dealer invoices are really the
REAL price they pay.

Folks, the home organ industry is really the ones you
need to worry about and those Piano Warehouse sales,
Armory Sales, College Sales.

In my area, the local dealer for a major competitor
has a trained professional staff to work with church
committees. However, if you come in as an individual,
any of their floor sales staff can work with you. I
have captured proposals showing prices at least 10K
higher than the industry norm for a given model. This
is how the home organ side of the industry works.
Those of us on the institutional side generally stick
to the norms when it comes to pricing. We cannot
afford to be overly aggressive with our pricing. The
church market is too small and our reputation and
honesty is very important to us. Pricing is not
merely a pure and simple issue. Quite frankly, the
price points for all the various models have not
changed a great deal in the 31 years I have been
selling Rodgers. What has happened is that the
customer is getting a great deal more organ and
features at each price point.
