I have observed that there is difficult distinction between a rumor ,
comment, product failure and a troll. In a free society we must not
unnecessarily block reports of problems, positive and negative comments.
Posts that have nothing to do with organs can certainly be eliminated but
certainly not the case with remarks that some would consider to be a
rumor. Please remember that when a few warned of the events of Rodgers
deconstruction, they were dismissed as rumors, but in fact those who chose
to ignore the facts are now having to live with the consequences.
Let's face it. Rodgers is gone. Unfortunately the dispersion of the parts ,
factory and personnel has put the coffin nails into the former company. The
fact that the name brand has been continued does not provide any succor to
those owners of the instruments that were built by Rodgers. It is not
possible to conceive that new usurpers of the Rodgers name had any
intention of providing ongoing support when they immediately sold all the
parts for existing Roders instruments.
The facts are that some dealers are acting as a bridge between 2 very
disparate entities. The first , a designer, builder and support service for
a range of Rodgers digital organs , the latter of known manufacturer of
very cheap and low quality instruments that have their base in Europe. All
that was learned by the former will not carry on to the latter. Being a
dealer with factory support is hard enough, but the challenge to support
customers without factory support because it is gone whilst trying sell a
totally different product with no established reputation is a monumental
challenge. The fact that some dealers are very concerned about their
integrity will be beneficial to owners . A shame that concept was carried
on by the current suppliers of something that has a Rodgers stencil on it.
A sad commentary.
