The issue of copyright is really getting confusing, since not all countries
honor other's agreements.
Kalmus make a good business out of reprinting Russian scores of works copyright
in the West.
Can you get caught...doubtful.
But if you do the catcher will almost always make you or your church an example
for others.
When I do searches, I eliminate from consideration anything that looks more
recent than the 1800's. Line art only. We are very, very conscious of our
need
to make a good example.
And remember, when it comes to lawsuits, the one with the most money wins. In
any business.
