Patrick, On the 527 it is possible to change the GT MIDI channel by selecting MIDI to GT and then using a key to reset the MIDI CH, a change which can be set to a piston. Since you do not have that kind of access and the documentation does not mention it, there is probably no way. So the only way to do it is to reassign the midi Ch to 12. But the good news is that you always know that CH is the C-180...which could make life easier in doing arrangements, no? Gain...I plug in a dummy 1/4" jack in the headphones jack midi keyboards all the time and then turn up the volume slider beyond what would cause distortion in the local speakers to get a higher gain. Does this work on the C-180? For those who don't fool with this stuff all the time, it is possible to play a Rodgers Organ from a MIDI keyboard, and if it has pistons, even send piston messages to the Rodgers. This can come in vary handy of the organist the only musician - you can go out on the platform, teach the congregation new music, while playing the Rodgers from the keyboards. In fact, with a web cam, you could play from home, in your bathrobe and slippers with a cup of coffee in your hand. As a solution to the organist shortage, one organist could play in two churches at once. This may sound ludicrous, but there are organists today who view the service using video monitor in church becuase they can't wee anything from where they are located.... -- noel jones, aago noeljones@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 423 887-7594 www.frogmusic.com rodgers organ users group, moderator frogmusic press, executive director ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find new MIDI music and Guides to Rodgers Organs at www.frogmusic.com To post send messages to: rodgersorgan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change mail delivery (digest, vacation) go to www.frogmusic.com/rodgersmem.html
