For Arlene re coupling solo stops...let me be sure I understand...the solo division on your organ is "floating" in that it does not have its own manual...you have to "couple" it to one or more of the other manuals to use any solo stops, right? By divisional couplers you mean sw to sw 16' or 4', etc., right? Now then, some organs with floating divisions like your solo will couple only at 8', i.e., they won't let you put them on the Great or anyplace else at 16' or 4', nor are they effected (affected?) by any other couplers, divisional or otherwise. For example, I can put the solo Vox Nausea on the Choir, but the Ch to Ch 4' does nothing, it's at 8' only, and when I use Choir to Great the solo stays on the Choir, it does not go with everything else to the Great. Are we in sync here? Maybe we need to know what you mean by "add or delete a solo stop with a divisional coupler." Just occurred to me...maybe you mean divisional piston (combination) instead of coupler? If so, and you're trying to get your Swell pistons to change the solo stops that have been coupled to the Swell, no way, just as Great divisional pistons do not effect Swell or Choir stops, coupled or not. Some organs have what are called "on-or-off's" usually effecting pedal stops only, that allow you to change pedal stops via other divisional pistons when it's "on." Can be very handy indeed, sort of like a partial General piston, since it couples pistons. I don't know of any current/recent organs that have intermanual on-or-off's. Thanks!
