Steve- I’m sure you know this, but please double, triple, and quadruple check
that time estimate for an eastbound trip on a Friday afternoon

Thanks Brian. I'm taking the 101 route to the 15 and over the hill. I should
avoid it that way.

I used to say "What a desolate place this is" a la C3PO every time I came to
the lake bed.

What an interesting and inviting landscape.

Hey Steve (and anyone else from the Ventura/Simi/West-of-LA-in-general
for that matter)
I figure you'll be driving up the 14 through the Antelope Valley and take
138/18 eastbound thru the Victor Valley/Phelan - If you do that, just
beware there's a little bit of gnarly construction at Hwy 18 (Palmdale
Rd) and Verbena Rd (just before you get to 395) and a lot of asshats
who've been waiting to try to pass you since Pearblossom may try to sneak
around you right into the construction zone, and it'll be a bit narrow
You might be better off turning right at Monte Vista (just before
Verbena) and pickup Bear Valley Road there, instead of at 395.
Just a tip!

Myself and a few others that I know of will be out Friday afternoon and
spending the night. We will be setting up the range Friday and ready to
start launching 7am-ish Saturday. See you there.

Mary, myself, the two dogs, and the grandchild in tow with her first
rocket will be leaving from Ventura to the lake bed Friday afternoon,
rather than get up at 3am and drive out routine.
Since it's my first time going out to Lucerne I'm hoping I won't be
the only one doing this. I have the directions in GPS, know the
route. But I hope I park in the right spot. I'm driving an all white
We are looking forward to meeting and flying with you. Our
Granddaughter built an Orange Crush for her first rocket. I'm
bringing my Zephyr for my L1 Cert attempt. Hoping to buy a H100W-14A
or a casing and a RMS-38/240 and reload.
See you all there.
