I'm asked a lot about what adhesives to use for attaching fins. Most people
want to use a high temperature adhesive due to heat transfer from the motor.
This can lead to other problems since most higher temp adhesives have lower
toughness and peel strength. When I ask how hot do they think it will get, no
one is quite sure.

I want to run an experiment, I have some temperature indicating stickers, we
use these at work and they are pretty accurate. I plan to bring some up with
me to the lake bed that will show temperatures at 100,150,200,250 degree F.
I'm looking for someone with a bigger project where I can put one of the
stickers on the motor case, and one on the body next to a fin to see what the
real temperatures are. The motor case and the body tube should 'bracket the
problem'.

I have enough stickers to do 3-4 rockets.

Anyone volunteer their rocket for the test?

Predictions?
