I pray this letter finds you healthy and well. Eau Claire Cooperative Health
Center, Inc. (dba Cooperative Health), a non-profit community health center,
remains devoted to our mission of providing quality health care services in the
spirit of the Good Samaritan. For nearly 40 years, we've delivered primary and
preventative health care services to South Carolina's most marginalized
populations residing in the Midlands. In 2019, more than 61,000 individuals
entrusted us with their health care needs, of which 96 percent are at or far
below the federal poverty level.
This year, our patients faced even more distress and financial strains with the
pandemic. With the growing instability of our nation's economy the holidays may
not be warmly welcomed. We want to provide a little warmth during these
unstable times by planning a Thanksgiving dinner for residents of the
communities we serve.
On Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020, we will open Cooperative Conference
Center located at 169 Laurelhurst Ave. to serve and cater a warm Thanksgiving
meal to those in need. Adhering to social distancing guidelines from the CDC
and SCDHEC, participants can either dine in, dine outside, or carry out their
meal. We are reaching out to you to help make this Thanksgiving memorable for
those in most need.
We kindly ask for a tax deductible monetary contribution (Federal Tax
Identification Number: 57-0965445) and/or in-kind donation (see below for
requested item list) to help offset the cost of the dinner. If your
organization would like to donate, please contact Jennifer Glover-Hawkins,
Director of Public Relations, at
or by phone at (803) 210-9588, or me at the information below.
We look forward to your support in assisting us with caring for our
communities. Thank you for your consideration.
