Scott over at ADK always uses Asus, Gigabyte or Intel boards... Being a systems builder I can understand why the secret issue, but it's not really worth it if you can open a machine and look inside at the chips etc. I just also happen to know this, it was leaked out in a builder's forim some time ago. Also, it always changes, I personally switch between these same companies and some others, depending on what the customer needs... I can get them both on partitions and w7 booting but I haven't figured out how to link them together yet, I don't know if I can do it with the bcdedit tool or not. I've just bought my brand new spanking daw machine i7 based fast ddr3 1600 memory, nice gigabyte mobo with legacy support and all the pci and express slots I need 750 quiet power supply and all the goodies from a guy Jim Roseberry www.studiocat.com He's great, remember how it was with guy over at sonica, well, he's our man now. Very very warm and friendly and accomodating, and he don't mark up his parts but just charges a good price on top for his work which he richly deserves. He's a sonar man too, and I think he's head of the herd now, even over adk, there was a big mess on midimag over the owner of that company, yup, yours truly stepped in it again, but they won't even tell you what motherboard they put in their machines. Wrong answer for this old red neck 'grin'. Anyway, for you guys who don't build machines completely from scratch but who want to be part of the process not just a consumer and treated like an equal, and not like your stupid or they know better, he's your man. He still has xp available too, and well, I don't want to speak out of school, but I think you could work out anything you wanted individually with him that you couldn't with other companies to accomodate you. I'm doing a caddy system with 4 hard-drives and xp and w7 64 bit on separate drives. It's gonna be great. WARNING!!!
