[real-eyes] question about openbook and scanning

Hi, everyone. I've been having a problem trying to get openbook 7.0 to work
with the printer I have. When I try to read something, I get this message
that says "scanning initialization has failed". I have a Brother MFC 34-20
USB all-in-one printer. When I had my old computer which had windows 98, my
printer worked well with openbook but now I can't get it to work and you'd
think it would work better with windows XP. How can I solve this problem?
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
