This idea of "just saying no" to smart phones and i-devices is becoming a matter of pride for me. It's a challenge to see how long I can hold out. As long as there are quality reasonably priced recordings of Mozart I don't possess, I think I can stay the course. The bigger temptation is an Amazon Kindle, but Learning Ally has helped me pass on that thus far. -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Andrea Breier Sent: Friday, June 29, 2012 12:44 PM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] Re: blind podcasts I bet there is an app that would do that, if that is what you want your iPhone to do. *smile*:) Hugs, Andrea M. Sounds like a contradiction, but it is really a paradox. -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Reginald George Sent: Friday, June 29, 2012 11:14 AM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] Re: blind podcasts And that's why I like the smart phone. I can turn it off altogether, just have it give me the caller ID info, or set do not disturb. I can see what calls I missed and control who reaches me so much better than I ever could with my land line. -----Original Message----- From: Mitchell D. I would cut the land-line if I could get away with it. 12 years of taking tech support calls pretty well cured me of my phone addiction. I have developed a nasty Pavlovian response to ringing telephones. -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Reginald George Sent: Friday, June 29, 2012 7:34 AM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] Re: blind podcasts There are all types of Android or IPhone podcasts out there if you have or are interested in getting an accessible smart phone. Serotek.com has a lot of good podcasts. -----Original Message----- From: Mitchell D. Just Google it. I don't do podcast; just grab the MP3s the old fashion way. www.grc.com/securitynow Twit TV has a ton of interesting podcasts on loads of subjects. Don't have the URL off the top of my head, but Google twit TV will get it. -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of bob mathews Sent: Friday, June 29, 2012 6:34 AM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] blind podcasts HI all, I am looking for some podcasts that people use to stay up with tacky info.
