The RF&P Board met virtually on Wednesday to discuss a guest club running
trains with RANTRAK. Initially, this was proposed as a change to the
bylaws. The decision was made to not modify the bylaws. What resulted is a
procedure to accommodate guest running sessions. I see this as potentially
extending to private viewings for the RC3R display. Two examples would be a
VTC joint meeting, or our visit by Mike Wolf. Any event would need to be
scheduled, pre-planned, and approved by RF&P. Why? Because of the liability
insurance. They need to know WHO is running the display(s). We submit our
membership role annually. That serves as the record of who is covered by
the policy.
I used the balance of my 18/4 cable reserve re-wiring the 6x11 layout. I
have ordered another 50' of 18/4 so I can wire up the power supplies for
the Menards buildings. In addition, I have run out of 14 ga ferrules. These
are needed for the wiring on the large power cart. Both items should be
here in about a week. We will be scheduling a work day to make templates
for the 12x15 and wire the Menards buildings. Work on the large power cart
will resume in August.
