Good luck on your travels to NYC. I was visiting my daughter in Brooklyn
while everyone else was having fun at York. Terrible trip up and back on I-95.
Northbound accidents north of Baltimore that detoured everyone through every
small town in MD. That ate up an hour. Southbound accident north of
Fredericksburg that was stop and go, and go was 10 mph at best. That ate up 2
hours, not to mention having to take the beltway around DC. Never again. I'll
go up 301. May take a bit longer with the stop lights in MD, but at least
you're moving and not subject to I-95 hiccups. As a bonus, I stop at the
Costco in Newark, DE, which is just off I-95 to fuel up and save some $ vs. NJ
and NY gas prices. As an added bonus, I'll swing through their liquor store as
the prices are much cheaper than VA and no sales tax!
