Tom,
I'm in the same boat with the other guys. I already pictured a train wreck
in my mind trying to figure it out.
Liked the Dynamometer car though.

Subject: [rc3r] Train Station Modules
Peter stopped by tonight with the plans for the passenger station modules.
Being nice, this is very different from what I thought we had discussed. I
understand that the ladder tracks ate up the real estate. What Peter showed me
were two track loops not connected to our two mainlines.
What I would like to suggest is two 11 degree switches (LH/RH) to tie the inner
mainline to the outer station loop. The will connect to 11 degree switches
connect to 11 degree Wyes. Flex track can be used to transition to the
sectional curves shown on the track plan. This will allow trains to pass from
the inner mainline to the train station. On the inside of the layout, a double
cross-over that will allow trains to pass between the inner and outer station
loops.
If I have done my math right, these switches, with manual ground throws, and
Rossbed, will run $728.15.What I would like to suggest is we use club funds to
purchase these switches. I do believe that the addition of these switches will
have a major impact on the operational functionality of the new module. With
club support this material should be able to be picked up @ York next week.
What does everyone think?
Gilly
