Count me out……my next Monday off in town would literally be Labor Day.

Ted has a speaker lined up for June 12th already.
He has an opening on July 17th.
Will that work ?

I could possibly do Monday the 12th of June. I will check. Other than that,
I have no other Mondays off until Labor Day.
We would show the PostWar we have….then show them what the new trains can do.

Turns out Ted Malbone is a resident at the Imperial Plaza. He called me
back. He has been setting up guess speakers for every 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Monday of the month since 2014 for a group of 55 men who are residence. He
has had MLB scouts, the manager of the Richmond Squirrels and FBI agents
to name a few. The meetings are from 10 to 11 AM. He wants a 45 minute
program followed by a 15 minute QA period. He has openings on his
calendar for the months of June, July and August. Typically he says about
25 men will show up. The majority are in their 80's. Ted serves as the MC
of the event. He provides a podium and will have chairs set up. He offered
to set up tables if needed for displays. He also says the room has an area
15' x 15' if we wanted to run trains.
Ted shared with passion a few stories of his Lionel trains he had as a
child. He is 81 now and is fun to talk to. He loves setting up quality
programs. He gave me his email address as a back up for communications.

Steve Marshall gave him my number. He told Steve he was with Imperial
Plaza.
I called the Imperial Plaza, however, the receptionist had no record of
him in her business/staff directory. She promised to investigate further.

Yesterday I received a phone message from a man requesting " a speaker
on model railroading". He said his name was Ted Malvon and to call him
at 262-2222.
I have tried several times but apparently this number is no good.
His message sounded like it was legit. I hope I am spelling his last
name right.
Any body know who he is ? I would like to talk with him.
