Maybe we should have a written policy on donations that we can give to people
when the want to make a donation. The policy could say "the RC3R reserves to
use or sell the donations as it sees fit with any financial proceeds going to
the club. What the donor would get is a receipt that could be used to document
a donation to a non-profit organization.
This is just a thought. Feel free to blow it up, if it does not sound right.

My impression is she would want them displayed on the layout. Why else would
she donate them to us? If that is not the case, and we can sell them to put
money in the treasury, we could auction them to members and then elsewhere?

Subject: Donation Inquiry
Good morning,
I'm reaching out on behalf of my mother. She has a collection of Department 56
Dickens
Village<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdepartment56.com%2Fcollections%2Fdickens-village&data=04%7C01%7C%7C5049d064e3e14a84af9108d8ee5694eb%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637521402917210317%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=nU5ld1%2Brs6a4B3uZx0PotOZOW4fVWcP7DvaQFk2%2F5AU%3D&reserved=0>
pieces, as well as accessories (trees, etc.), that she is looking to downsize
and donate.
Would your organization be interested in those kinds of pieces? My young sons
have always enjoyed your displays at The Great Big Greenhouse, so I thought it
was worth checking.
Thanks,
Theresa Cuddington
