The mystery has been solved. Multiple people had looked multiple times in the
large trailer. Today we setup at the SMR. When I opened the Z4000 box, I made a
discovery. Someone had removed the packing foam from the Z4000 box. Inside the
box was:
Z4000CW80TIU Auxiliary power supplyCab1L base wall wart power supplyCables to
connect the transformer to the layout (long gray w/ 6 pin metal trailer
plug)Wires for connecting the TIU to the transformer and Cab1L baseBatteries
(dead)and.........….........…….
Three DCS remotes. Two belonging to the club and Ben's old one.
Still missing are the bolts for attaching the plexiglass. I just spent $24 for
50 bolts/wingnuts/washers. Ken, Bill, and I ran the club's CSX switcher a
complete lap on both the inner and outer loops.
Could someone please pick up a pack of AAA batteries? None of the DCS remotes
have batteries at this time. For now, please leave the new remote in the
packaging. Two should be sufficient for layout operation. For DCS users, please
do a signal strength check and report your results.
