Can you believe it? We're still in the middle of the summer heat and
we're already thinking about cool weather, sunny afternoon, leaves falling
off the trees, and TRAINS. That's right TRAINS, and the 15th annual
Ashland Train Day is less than three months away. WOW ! ! !
Yep. I'm with you. I'm still wearing my and shorts and working on my
tan, yet we'll be pulling out those Fall jackets and thinking about school
holidays in just a few months. But . . . Train Day will be here before you
know it, and that's why we're touching base with everyone; our supporters,
planners, neighborhood business and folks who are all a part of the fun.
August is "It Really Can't Be This Soon" month , where we realize we have
only three months left. I haven't even been to the beach yet, but I'm
planning for the Fall now. So with that said, our Train Day team would
like to invite all of you to a pow wow, a meeting of the minds, a
brainstorming session, a time to toot your horn, so we can kick things off
and get your thoughts and ideas about this Fall's event. Train Day is a
community event, and the fun happens because the community participates. We
know you will have some great ideas to share and maybe some new things can
be added to make our event even more awesome. You may have been on a
vacation to some far away train town and saw something that looked so cool
that we just have to have it for our event. So share your memories and
get ready to rock and roll this Fall.
We would love for you to share with us your thoughts about making that
Saturday in November a great one, and one where all the kids will say WOW
when they get there and have really big smiles on their faces when they go
home. We can't think of everything, so please join us and tell us what you
came up with. We want this year's Train Day to be the best one ever for
the kids. And DRY TOO ! ! ! We had a spectacular day last year after
two years in a row of rain. So please join us at the *Ashland** Library
on Thursday, September 7 at 5:30pm*. We'll even do a slide show just to
get you thinking and all fired up.
We look forward to seeing you all and thank you in advance for supporting
this spectacular community event.
