Boy, was I surprised!

Carl,

I have always treasured more, things made or created by someone I know, I
believe they have much more value. This next race season one of my goals is to
have most of the drivers sign at least one pic I take of them on the track. So
I will take you up on this and remind you in November that I'd like one of your
pieces of work and one of your knives.

Thanks

Tell you what...if you are still interested, check with me about Novermber, and
If I have a couple of  extras, you can pay me what you think they are worth.

The knife depends upon what you would like.  At present, the materials for an
average ~3- 4 in. stainless blade knife (good-quality steel) run about $50,
plus a  bit for the sheath. Dama$cu$ would be higher, of course, because the
blades are more costly, and it is harder to work with.   A bowie knife will
range higher ...from about 20% more for a basic stainless blade  to Katy Bar
The Door!

Price would be $125 for a  stainless gentlemen's carry/scandinavian/ hunting
blade, with a basic sheath.   A Bowie...it would depend how big your eyes
are.

I'd need 50% down to start the project.

Figure about a month, once I got the materials together.

Let me know.

Carl

I was just asking cause my wife loves that kind of stuff so if you had a couple
laying around she'd love them. But good work anyway. What would it cost me to
commission a knife for myself?
