Chris - yeah. We lived in Ashford, Middlesex for 20 years (it's between Staines and Feltham). Not a bad town to be honest and I miss it. Too much traffic and aircraft noise though. We've got Leeds Bradford airport about 8 miles from us here but hear only one or two planes a day if that.

Huw - how do I find the rain? It's Yorkshire mate, the rain finds me. :-) Seriously though, they've had more rain in the South than we've had up here in thepast couple of weeks.

Yep, when we lived around Heathrow me and the wife had holidays up this way regularly. Drive a couple of miles and find some decent towns but a couple of miles in the other direction and miles of moors and dales.

        Hi all,

Unlikely I'll make it if for no other reason that I don't

same for return journey). I'm still weighing up options but

        Hi Gents

I think I’ve given enough time for everyone to complete
the Doodle survey and although there was no week where
everyone could make one of the dates where we had the best
hit rate (8) was Saturday 31^st July.

This is also ties in with being the last Saturday in July,
which is what we normally try to aim for so apologies to
Trevor and Alan as the survey suggests neither of you will
be able to make this date.

Trevor, I’ve not heard from Craig but assume he will like
to join us as usual, so can you kindly share the date with
        him please.

I look forward to seeing you all at around 20:00hrs on
Saturday 31^st July, although if anyone fancies a curry
beforehand, then I’m happy to organise something across
the road for around 18:00 to 18:30 if anyone is interested?

Have a great weekend, and here’s hoping for a win on
Sunday evening (as well as for the Lions and England in
        the rugby this weekend).

        Regards
