The Power by Naomi Alderman.
It’s about women suddenly having electrical power in their hands that they
can control, and the whole world going crazy about it. It discusses
political and religious ramifications of this new power, as well as the way
the backgrounds of each of the protagonists (we follow I think 5-6 women
specifically over a period of a few years) affect how they harness and use
their power.
Kinda like World War Z but women instead of zombies. It’s about 300 pages,
but definitely page turner, not too thick or hard to follow. Super cool
concept of how women are realizing how they can suddenly and easily
overpower and harm men.. or each other...
