When I was looking for a job about half a year ago, it reminded me another time
how much difference it makes to discover one more vacancy that specifically
requires the skills you already have. I hope this job advert will help to make
that difference to a few other engineers that are looking for a job now.
The company I work for has an open position for a NOC engineer in Kent, the
United Kingdom. The job advert does not mention it, but RackTables is one
of the many key tools that support everyday work in the NOC. Feel free to take
a look at this vacancy if you are competent in keeping RackTables records up to
date (so other engineers can find what they need) and in finding the right bits
of information after somebody else has recorded it. This is an overly
simplified description of course, but most people here should have an idea what
it means to be an experienced RackTables user in a data centre team.
As far as I know, relocation assistance is not provided, which is usually fine
for motivated UK residents. Coming from overseas (whether EU or non-EU) with
the sole purpose of working this job, although not completely impossible, may
be too rough an adventure.
The detailed job description is on the page below, if anybody is interested to
apply please do it there and only there, do not reply to the mailing list or to
myself (I do not handle job applications). Thanks!
