I am new to racktables and have been googling for informaiton including the
reading the wiki and have not had to much luck as I dont entirely understand
how to add the configuration examples in your wiki to racktables itself.
I am currently running Ubuntu 16.04 server and have racktables installed and
running now when ever i try to setup the live ports i keep getting the
"Could not find the gateway file called 'netcat'" error message, now i have
seen the config block that needs to be used in your wiki but im looking for
a nudge in the right direction on where this block goes, if anyone can
provide me with some examples or a tutorial with configuring this on ubuntu
that would be fantastic.
"Could not find the gateway file called 'netcat'" means literally that --
RackTables on the server cannot locate the directory "gateways" with the
executable file "netcat" in it. The directory "gateways" by default is supposed
to be in the RackTables top directory as it appears in the .tar.gz (.zip) file.
The config block you mention is probably the one here:
As it says at the bottom: "You can put your definition of terminal_settings
function into your secret.php file."
