I used to do MySql updates, it took a few seconds if you have the right
information.

So I think I've understood your needs: you want to set attributes (ie
OEM S/N 1) upon creation of objects, either individually or bulk....
I really do not know how to do that. But what I can suggest as a
workaround is setting those attributes afterwards by using the
csv_plugin[1].
As per the information of the plugin, the syntax is the following:
Syntax: OBJECTATTRIBUTE
Value 1, OBJECTATTRIBUTE
Value 2, Objectname: Specifies the name of the object
Value 3, attribute id: Specifies the numeric ID of the attribute (can
be looked up in Attribute table), also some general attributes are
supported, in this case use: NAME / LABEL / ASSETTAG / HASPROBLEMS
(yes|no) / COMMENT
Value 4, attribute value; Specificies the value to be set for the attribute
Examples:
OBJECTATTRIBUTE;myRouter;3;mgmt.myrouter.com
Moreover, with the previous you can set many attributes at once to
several objects.
Could this be of help?
Cheers!

Hi Lucas,
just to clarify, the idea here is that when my colleagues and myself add new
objects [Objects > Add More] wether or not in bulk, we need to add the OEM S/N
1 and the only way to do this is to go individually object by object after those
are created, replacing fields like VisibileLabel or Asset Tag that I'd mentioned
and which we do not use, for fields that we actually do would save us a tremendous
amount of time.
We don't need new attributes, we just want to make use of those fields for
attributes (existent in RT) that we actually use.
Hope this clarifies what I'm looking to do.
Cheers!

Hello!
Why don't you try adding new attributes to your object. You don't
really need to replace VisibleLabel or AssetTag: simply create your
new attributes and assign them to your object type ...

Hello folks,
I've been looking for ways to customise the fields existing 'Objects > Add
More' for creation of objects, namely to swap fields like [Visible label] and
[Asset tag] for something like [OEM S/N 1] and perhaps [Contact person], would
anyone happen to know if this is possible and if so how can it be done? Or point
me in the right direction?
Cheers!
