If one or multiple patchpanels interconnect our devices with 3rd party devices,
how would you solve this?
Right now, you can only link one port to one port.
But if you have like a DWDM MUX, and you want to link channel C60 to 2 of your
own devices, this is not possible.
It would go like this: Device A <—> DWDM MUX location A <—> DWDM MUX location B
<—> Device B
Love to hear your thought about this.

You can also make drop down lists through type dictionary record. I did that
to select vendors
Create those in configuration -> dictionary
How you handle the interconnect objects is personal preference.
You can do per vendor, and do all port of that vendor in there. I create an
object per contract usually only 1 port per contract.

Per dc I create a virtual rack, and I have created a object type
interconnect. And I added fields to put contract name phone number and more.
I created a 1U rack in the demo environment and added a new object type
called “Interconnect” and put it in the 1U rack.
Where do you create those new fields?

These cables or patches usually have some sort of a ID that identifies them
and separates them from other cables.
This ID is known by both us and the external third party.
Is there a way to attach a cable / circuit ID to an interface?
