Hi Everyone, Listener stats have been good this year with a peak over 340 in one hour. This has exceeded all other previous years since 2003. Website visitor stats have also been continually increasing of which I’ve been keeping you up to date with and have reached well over 8000 per week . Weekly Stats Report: Xmas week Project: Rockabilly Radio Summary Mon Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun Total Avg Pageloads 1,068 1,249 1,192 1,329 1,106 1,077 1,242 8,263 1,180 Unique Visits 664 729 692 731 676 637 645 4,774 682 First Time Visits 347 386 360 387 351 359 354 2,544 363 Returning Visits 317 343 332 344 325 278 291 2,230 319 Live programing and streaming started to be tested at the beginning of 2013 with more DJ's to come. The stream format that has been played out on the Rotation has been successful keeping listeners interested . Some of the Genre tracks such as Doo Wop, Bubblegum and some Blues and a lot of country rock sounding tracks will be lessened or deleted from the Stations track rotation and be given over to our sister station at www.bvharmonyradio.com who will be specialising in Rockin' Rhythm and Blues, Fast Doo Wop, Blues Boppers, Swing n Jive, Stroll and associated genre’s . They also hve been increasing their numers and DJs as our Sister Station. At Rockabilly Radio we will concentrate on our base of 50’s n Rockin’ , Rockabilly, neo Artists and bands that were the root reason for Don Freeman Starting the Station up in the first instance . I will also be adding Skiffle to the rotation play. Not all the Blues boppers and related rockin’ Blues tracks will be deleted, it’s just that we need to get back to the original intent to provide airplay for new rockin’ bands and existing bands new releases which continue to be sent . The Variety of content and presentation of each DJ has also been part the format that has been adhered to. We have more Stateside DJ’s Joining soon that will be filling the hours covered by their listeners. The Chat room has also been used well since a few experimental periods at the beginning of the year for some Live show DJ’s although some prefer to use their pages in Facebook that were In existence beforehand, so both have been running side by side. Listener experience and interaction has been increased, this will be looked at in 2014 to be improved with changes on the main website, Facebook and running competitions, Featured Bands / artists and ways that DJ requests for tracks may be made including the return of the instant request feature that was a part of the original Station when Don Freeman ran everything. The Christmas Countdown was a first for Rockabilly Radio run By Peter Scanlon and we thank the Sponsors in providing the prizes. T-shirts and Mugs are available, details are on our website. The Americana UK event Live Broadcast and recordings in 2013 went well and I have yet to get round to getting them edited and played out, Also there are many interviews from Hemsby, Sweden and Rockabilly Rave 2013 to be edited and aired. Another promotion for Hemsby in May 2014 will be to record activities, do interviews and for our DJ’s to have an opportunity to show their skills. I’m hoping a live streaming connection is possible during the daytime or early evening before the main events take place. Our DJ Scatman is also negotiating to do some Broadcasting at the Rockabilly Rave in 2014 using their studio’s. A New webmaster will be redesigning the Main page and links in 2014 with the main appearance remaining similar while some of the functions may be improved. I would like to Thank my son for creating the original pages from a template he set out to add information and content to. Scrolling and changing banners links may also be included in the new website design for Sponsor and related links to be placed on the main page. Stats in Real time and daily viewing of countries in graph or pie chart format is hoped to be returned that was in the pre 2010 website options. Our website will also feature a link to raise awareness and funds for those in the Hemsby Village that were affected by the Storms that caused a lot of damage in the area that may not be covered by recompense measures either by insurance or local funding. This will also be accompanied by space for rockin’ bands, artists, venues and organisers who may be raising funds for various charities of their choice. We also need to fund our way to continue, so it’s important that we seek donations, Financing and sponsorship to continue to grow and meet our costs of Royalties, licencing, provider billing and running costs. We remain to be the most listened to Station for the genre’s we play although we do have a friendly stations links page to others, some of which also play material that is not part of our format for inclusion. So I believe that we can all exist like supermarkets on a High street that vary in what choices are available to the public without losing custom. Rockabilly Radio continues to grow and increase listeners and your support is appreciated, Here's looking forward to another year of great rockin' . Dave Brighton www.rockabilly-radio.net
