Hi Dirk,

Yes, the wheelbase is a long for my car, so quick release axles would be nice.  The Munzo TT has a compact setup with locking mechanism, good for their upcoming velo.  Initially I was following this design, using only bike parts: 2 BB, 2 cranks, a chain, and a hub w/ free wheel

After trying on the first wheel, I decided to skip the rest of the plan, kind of a lucky shortcut...  I really like the damping effect, so I am afraid that shortening one crank would make it imbalanced.  However, I like to take your idea further to make a side wheel / side car.  Here is another experiment with wider track for cargo.

Again, very nice!

Is there a tendency to tilt when you do not want it to? What when you happen to load the bike asymmetrical?
