Ray: I like that "weights and glue" method. I laughed aloud when the picure popped up on my screen; no offense, it just reminded me of many of the things I've done. There's always a way to "git 'er done" huh? It seems like there'd be information on the internet about seat profiles, but I've searched time after time and never really found much. I hope Dirk can set us up with some good height-specific way of determining a profile. Thanks for chiming in on the seat. -Rod -------------- Original message -------------- From: Ray Schumacher <mtb@xxxxxxx> > At 07:19 PM 8/20/2007, you wrote: > >Dirk: > >I'd REALLY like to know about that aluminum seat. > > same here > > > I was considering building a similar seat from plywood using the > > "stitch and glue" method, > > I used the weights and glue method > http://rjs.org/recumbents/images/seatPi16b.jpg > http://rjs.org/recumbents/images/seat_end.jp > > >In particular, I'm interested the the profile measurements and the > >details of the mounting. > > me too - I like mine but want a bit more lumbar support > > Is it welded?
