No pendulum effect, but positive trail.

This model is a standard delta trike like many handcycles, (Draft, Top End,
Schmiking, Wolturnus, Lightning,
Greenspeed, Hall's Wheels, Varna, Principia) but Freedom Ryder do make the
Superbike model
(http://www.freedomryder.com/Superbike%20LC-1.htm) which really is lean steer
with a self-righting effect. The axis
is approximately 45 degrees with the pivot axis running through the centre of
gravity. Probably has positive trail,
but they don't show sude views. It has been raced on the US handcycle circuit
for about 10 years, but the standard
delta layout still dominates because lean steering requires some trunk control
to steer reliably. Alejandro Albor
races a similar system with great
success,(http://www.awonalbor.com/thecompany.htm) but I think he's the only one
who can handle it (Double amputee), and even he has a reputation for crashing a
lot...

All the best,

Dan Chambers
