Yes, correct.

Yes, it is bound with a piece of rope to the handlebar.

Yes, a 20x10 tube is welded transversal onto the upper crank arm. Through
this, three M6 bolts hold the plywood in place. This tube also holds the
seatbelts.

Right. The outer 15 cm of the handlebar are cut off and welded onto the
20x10 transversal tube.

It is good, when you ask these kind of questions, because it helps me
to understand the problems, people have with my explanations and it
will improve the construction manual in the end.
