Hi,
Just sending you a picture of an alternative way to cary a child on a python.
Our baby is just two months old but he definitely liked the short trip around
the village. As most people know, you'd better not put a baby in a seat when
he's under 6 months old. Though, a sling (green cloth) gives excellent support
and he was rather comfortable on my belly. The Python (here my Pythonjet trike)
is an excellent cycle for this since -if you need- you have two hands free to
support or hug your baby. I think it is rather safe as well (safer than a seat
imo), since when I would fall of my bike I would hit my bottom first. And in
case I would crash into something, there is no steer that would obstruct and
harm the baby and you go legs and arms first (not your head or belly).
But above all, we really enjoyed the trip. We only went a few kilometers to get
him used to the feeling, but I am sure we will steadily increase distance. He
slept the first half. Then we had to make a pitstop (pee) and he was awake.
After that, he was just watching the landscape go by.
Enjoy your cycling trip,
Patrick
