If I am not much misstaken, only the frontend off the disks will be pressed together due to the load on the pivot. One or two coaster blocks - I hope the term is right - on or in stead off one off the disks might even improve the pivot. However, this might turn out as a wanted damping effect, potentially reducing psi...
