Are there any instructions on how to run the tests exactly? Do they require a physical RS-232 port, or can they be run with a USB serial adapter?
Any serial port, real or virtual should do. You should be able to run the tests with 'run' script you can find from the github if you have the source code and the jna lib in the same directory structure as in the github. Here is the run script: https://github.com/nyholku/purejavacomm/blob/master/run You should also be able to run it from the jar without compiling stuff (the run script compiles the stuff also so it expects the source code). The main class is in 'purejavacomm.testsuite.TestSuite' and it takes as the command line argument the serial port to run the test on. If that is not available it tries to find any port really and runs the test on that. You need a loopback connector, see here: https://github.com/nyholku/purejavacomm/blob/master/doc/DE9-pinout.txt br Kusti
