If there is no compelling reason for storing metol & sulfite
(AKA D-23) in an open beaker then it would be a good idea not

thanks Nicholas. the compelling reason for my leaving a gallon out all night is my own forgetfulness due most likely to old age. However I went ahead and continued my processing were I left off yesterday and it seems to be working fine. I can't see a difference from earlier film batches.
