DEAR BOGDAN I used to have a 3 1/2 gallon D-76 line in my film darkroom in my NYC studio from 1974 until I moved to Barbados in 1993. I replenished with 3/4 of D-76R for every 80 sq in of film. Ever 100 rolls I removed 1 gallon of dev and added a gallon of fresh D-76. After about 400 rolls I mixed the entire 3 1/2 gallons fresh. As Richard can attest, I have no idea what the composition of that soup was after 100 rolls but I got brilliant results with Panatomic X, Plus X and Tri X. For the last 15 years I have been a devotee of PMK. CHEERS! They also note with the 16 8x10 / gallon, increase development time by 15 percent after each 4 sheets.
