Dear Friends,

Thank you for the OT wishes. I did have a wonderful birthday and got
pure-silver present from one of my friends - a glass measuring beaker from the
Imperial measurement days that was produced by Kodak (Australasia). It is
short, thick glass and features a prominent pouring spout.

The markings are in oz. - as I say presumably imperial, and it holds 4 oz.
The interesting part is the bottom oz.- It is divided with markings for 2,4 6,
and 8.

I am curious as to what those divisions represent, apart from mere
fractions. What is the unit of measurement?

On the OT, I did remain trousered as the celebration was at an Indian
restaurant and the waiters are nervous creatures. They had enough to do to cope
with two pregnant ladies in the party.
