I do both, but most recently I scanned prints.
  I have an Epson 4990 and it does a good job on both prints and negs.

Since the most recent ones have a Christmas theme ("Season's Greetings from Algood, TN!") I will post the link:

A question for those of you that have a web-presense for your silver images;

Do you scan the original negatives (with a film scanner) or do you make prints first, then scan on a flatbed scanner?

I scan prints.
