I think it has to be remembered that the RC papers are designed for fast 
processing and the RT chemicals also for fast throughput in a lab. The short 
development and fix time means much less absorption into papers and therefore 
less washing time to remove residual chemicals.
Obviously the best policy is to test for complete fixing and I assume you can 
adjust washing times at each stage to taste.
