Diopters, yes. ~sigh~ I use a diopter with my FG and it's the type that slides on. I've lost one and now have this one taped on. They're all made in whole number increments. Right now the +1 is pretty close, but not perfect and I'm not quite to a +2. I enjoyed perfect vision for the longest time, so this bifocal thing is an irritant.

Of my cameras, my Nikon FG is my favorite. The shutter is bad and I
need to replace it. I'd like to replace it with something that is
similar, but a little better is ok. :o) I like the simplicity of
it, I like manual, and I like the metering system. Any suggestions?

(I also have a Hasselblad and a F100, but want a simple little manual
body. That's what I use most.)

Okay so I'm not exactly answering the question but then. The F4s with manual lenses will work peachy. It's not small but in my hands it's very well balanced. If you stick an autofocus lens on it then it's not manual in any
sense of the word.

I love my F4's, but the F4 is an electronic camera - batteries die, no pix.

One thing to bear in mind as you are getting older .... is the diopter adjustment found in the upper-end cameras. Having my eyes change on me over the last few years, it's been great to just make an adjustment on the finder to keep things in focus.
