It is a good thing that the market responds to volume changes. The remaining companies should get stronger from this move. However, this also does a lot of damage. For one, some people will just have enough and through in the towel altogether; other get discouraged to get started, because they see this as a continuing trend. Also, it might get some people to stock up and hamster the discontinued papers. That will kill the remaining companies and by the time the stock is gone, so are they. I suggest to jump ship now and get used to other papers. My money is on Ilford but I wouldn't hesitate to try something else also. The main point is, we need to buy paper and we need to get into the darkrooms and make some prints. Otherwise, all we will have left is talking about it. If people would print more, we would be in this mess. Regards Ralph W.
