In addition to the corners, I use these V-mount strips along the long edges (say just about for the middle third) See http://www.secol.co.uk/MOUNT.SHTML and go down the list to V-mount They are just like the corners you use but are in a strip instead of a corner Tim http://www.worldoflithprinting.com -----Original Message----- From: pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adrienne Moumin Sent: 25 September 2006 20:34 To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [pure-silver] Droopy Prints Hi all, Here's a sitch I don't ever think I've seen mentioned in the discussions of print display. It has to do with matted, framed prints. I find that after about 6-12 months, the part of the print that is visible thru the mat window begins to droop slightly downward, in somewhat of a loose "U" shape. Clearly, gravity is at work here. I use 1-1/4" polypropylene mounting corners to hold the print in place on the back of the window mat. Each print is in a Nielsen metal frame, and has a sheet of acid-free foamcore behind it. Does anyone have any suggestions (short of dry mounting) about how to keep the prints flat behind the window mats? Thanks in advance, Adrienne Moumin *************************************** on the web at: www.picturexhibit.com Saatchi Gallery: http://tinyurl.com/hw6r3 Tiny Fine Art: http://tinyurl.com/o2ldp *************************************** ============================================================================ ================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there. ============================================================================================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there.
