Peter... where do you stand w.r.t. putting the data from the archives into columns? As I meant to say earlier... if I can get the data in columns I can create a database program that will will have the powerful and simple to learn and use FileMaker database engine as it's backbone. I can script buttons to search for popular discussion topics such as TF4, Pyro, Alternative Process, in addition to a general find function that will allow users to find any word in any field of the database... No one will have to own a copy of FM to run this application I can make it run stand-alone... Mac or PC. Once the data is in columns there is almost nothing I can't do... what's most important, in my opinion is separating the replies from the quoted text... since that's the part that's most unwieldy in terms of readability and the biggest hindrance to usability. Did I understand you to say that you could create an application that would parse the data to columns? Best, Matt...
