I am glad someone braught up the dust issue. I just put a HEPA filter in my
darkroom and it looks like it has solved much of my dust problem. No dust on
drying film. I hope sheet film loaded into film holders will also now be
dust free.

Subject: [pure-silver] Anti-static devices

Hi all,

I recently came across 2 adds for anti-static devices (a Simco and a
Kinetronics). Both devices constites of two "poles" with brushes, these
remove static charge of your film, so it won't attract dust any more. At
least that's how I understand it.

Do people consider these devices a "must have" in the darkroom (both before
printing, and before loading film-holders)?

Will such a device remove dust already present on a negative?

Thanks & best,

Cor
